Collection: Baby bath

As parents who are also attentive to the environment, we are always at the looking for healthier and more sustainable ways to care for our children . One of the fundamental moments in the daily routine of the little ones is bath , which can however be a rather consumerist habit.

SUSTAINABLE bathing

The first step towards a sustainable bathroom is to reduce water use. This can be done filling the tub only a third or using a flow reducer for the tap . Furthermore, you can teach children to turn off the water while soaping and only turn it back on to rinse.
Avoid bathing every day it's another smart way to reduce water consumption - daily cleansing of the body is not even recommended by dermatologists.

An excess of disinfectants, detergents and soaked wipes can be too aggressive for newborns' skin, as well as interfering with the natural development of their immune defenses.

Replace the synthetic or animal sponges ( common sponges are not plants as is often mistakenly thought! ) and in general bathroom accessories with more sustainable alternatives can make a big difference. For example, they can be used wipes in different fabrics or vegetable sponges as the konjac ( Amorphophallus konjac ). These materials are gentle on children's skin, last a long time and reduce the amount of waste generated.

The products to choose are those that interfere the least with the skin's PH and are free of harmful substances.
